Halifax Chapter Meeting

People in a Zoom Meeting

Our volunteers bring together those who live with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) every day – those with the diagnosis, and those who support them. Without this sense of community and togetherness, IBD can be a very isolating disease. The volunteers in Halifax understand the challenges, and are there to support others.

Halifax's chapter meetings are a place to get that support and connection with others in the IBD community.

Please join us on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. for the casual connection and peer support, and even stay for the business part of the meeting.

The in-person meeting will take place at:
Halifax Central Library - Room 302
5440 Spring Garden Road
Halifax, NS

To attend virtually:
Please RSVP to Halifax Chapter President David Harrison: daveharrison04...hotmail...com to obtain the Zoom link via email.

PLEASE NOTE:
Chapter meetings normally take place on the second Tuesday of every month, with some exceptions. Please check the Nova Scotia Facebook page and this site to confirm dates.

Volunteers, be they chapter or in your local community, also engage their communities by promoting local patient program delivery, growing the local volunteer base, raising funds, and supporting awareness and involvement through activities like Open House events, hosting Gutsy Walks and promoting disease education and awareness and how Crohn’s and Colitis Canada can help.

The Maritime provinces have the highest rates of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in Canada, and we’re still not sure why. Many people on the east coast who live with IBD every day value the sense of community and the local support they receive from others.

We look forward to meeting you!
