Dr. Sanjay Murthy is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and a Clinician-Investigator in the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Ottawa.
He is a member of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) Centre at the General Campus and Director of the Home Parenteral Nutrition Program for The Ottawa Hospital.
His clinical areas of focus include IBD and clinical nutrition. His research program focuses on the application of clinical epidemiologic methods to study health care questions pertaining to IBD and colorectal cancer (CRC) prevention, particularly with respect to the clinical and cost-effectiveness of current paradigms of care and ways to improve the efficiency and quality of delivery of health care services.
In 2018, Dr. Murthy received the Crohn's and Colitis Canada Rising Star Award.
