Workplace Giving

Support through workplace giving: a smart, sustainable impact

Workplace giving enables you to direct resources toward the transformative research, patient programs, and advocacy and education initiatives Crohn’s and Colitis Canada funds—all while integrating charitable giving seamlessly into your everyday work life.

Employees
If you are looking for a simple way to support a meaningful cause, workplace giving is a great option. By teaming up with your employer or coworkers, you can make a significant difference in the lives Canadians affected by Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, the two main forms of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). We’ve got the tools that can help you take the first step to build a lasting relationship between our organization and yours

Employers
If you're part of an organization that is looking to empower your workplace and align your business with purpose, Crohn's and Colitis Canada works with organizations that are looking to lead while contributing to a meaningful cause. See how we can help.

Why workplace giving works

Workplace giving is more than a transaction—it's a strategy for sustained investment. Workplace giving benefits both employees and employers by fostering a culture of community engagement and shared purpose. Through recurring payroll contributions, employer matching gifts, and volunteer grants, you can amplify the power of every dollar and hour given.

Ways to participate

  • Payroll deduction giving

  • Recurring donations through payroll deduction allow employees to automate their generosity with ease. Once set up, your contribution is securely processed with each pay cycle—making long-term support effortless. Some employers may have specific giving criteria, so be sure to consult your HR department about eligibility.
  • Employer matching gifts

  • Many companies offer to match donations made by employees to approved charitable organizations, often doubling (or even tripling) your impact. To find out if your employer offers a matching gift program, check our employer matching gifts tool.
  • Volunteer grants

  • Companies increasingly support their employees' volunteerism through grant programs that convert hours of service into financial donations. If you volunteer with Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, your employer may contribute a monetary gift in recognition of your time and dedication.

Getting started

Corporate giving programs vary widely—some are managed in-house, others by external platforms like Benevity or Canada Helps. The first step is reaching out to your HR or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team to learn what's available and how to enroll.

When you choose to give through your workplace, you're not just supporting a cause—you’re championing a future where every Canadian living with IBD has access to better care, better outcomes, and hopefully one day, cures to these diseases.
