Gutsy Walk

Gutsy Walk and COVID-19 Update: The health and safety of our community continues to be a top priority as we navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic. For our 26th annual Gutsy Walk, we have made the decision to continue to host our annual celebration online, while participants are encouraged to walk in their own neighbourhoods in lieu of a park gathering on Sunday, June 6 2021.

BE GUTSY

Every year, tens of thousands of Canadians take part in the Gutsy Walk, Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s largest single day fundraiser. The event takes place in over 60 locations from coast-to-coast to ensure Canadians can participate no matter where they live.

The $1.8+ million raised by nearly 8,000 participants in 2020 was instrumental in Crohn’s and Colitis Canada's ability to improve the lives of everyone living with these diseases through patient programs, advocacy, and research into new and better treatments, which will bring us closer to cures.

For many people living with Crohn’s or colitis, the Gutsy Walk is their first time meeting others with these diseases. Other participants simply find it inspirational to see this community come together to support people who have inflammatory bowel disease. Too often, people with Crohn’s or colitis live in isolation, but the Gutsy Walk can be the first step towards finding out how others are living well in spite of these diseases.

With technology a click away, and from the comfort of everyone’s homes, we will rally the Crohn’s and colitis community to come together as one, to walk together in spirit all across the country.

By supporting the Gutsy Walk, you’ll be helping to build something bigger than a one-day event. You’ll help put a stop to the pain, the surgeries, and the missed moments caused by Crohn’s and colitis.

Together as one we walk to stop Crohn’s and colitis. Join us, sign up  to be part of the magic on Sunday, June 6, 2021.
