Gutsy Walk™

Since 1996, Gutsy Walk (formerly the Heel 'n' Wheel-a-thon) has become Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s largest annual fundraising event. With over 50 locations across the country, Gutsy Walk brings together thousands of Canadians, allowing everyone the opportunity to get involved, no matter where they live.

Each year, Gutsy Walk raises over $2 million, funding life-changing research, programs, and advocacy efforts that help improve the lives of those affected by Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. This funding is crucial in supporting advancements in treatment options, and ultimately, in the search for cures.

For many participants, Gutsy Walk is not just a fundraising event—it’s a chance to connect with others who are living with Crohn’s and colitis. It’s often the first-time people with these conditions meet others who truly understand what they’re going through. For others, the event is a source of inspiration, seeing the community come together to support those affected by inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Too often, those living with Crohn’s or colitis face isolation, but Gutsy Walk offers a powerful opportunity to connect and share stories of resilience and hope.

When you support Gutsy Walk, you’re helping to create something much bigger than just a one-day event. Your participation helps end the pain, surgeries, and missed moments that come with Crohn’s and colitis.
