Gutsy Walk

Gutsy Walk and COVID-19 Update: The health and safety of our community continues to be a top priority as we navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic. For our 25th Gutsy Walk Anniversary, we have made the decision to host this year’s walk virtually. A virtual walk will allow participants to complete the walk, they have been looking forward to and come together across Canada all on one day, Sunday August 23, 2020.

Every year, tens of thousands of Canadians take part in the Gutsy Walk, Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s largest single day fundraiser. The event takes place in over 60 locations from coast-to-coast, including virtual events to ensure Canadians can participate no matter where they live.

The $3.1 million raised by nearly 20,000 participants in 2019 was instrumental in Crohn’s and Colitis Canada's ability to improve the lives of everyone living with these diseases through patient programs, advocacy, and research into new and better treatments, which bring us closer to cures.
For many people living with Crohn’s or colitis, the Gutsy Walk is their first time seeing and meeting kids, adults, and families impacted by these diseases. Other participants simply find it inspirational to see their communities come together to support people who have inflammatory bowel disease. Too often, people with Crohn’s or colitis live in isolation, but the Gutsy Walk can be the first step towards finding out how others are living well in spite of these diseases.

Join us for the 25thh anniversary of Gutsy Walk. While the COVID-19 pandemic affects us today – the urgent research you help us fund is long-lasting. With your commitment, we will bring Gutsy Walk to life as an exciting community driven event - full of engagement, campaigns, communications and support for those who live with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, day in and day out.

With technology a click away, and from the comfort of everyone’s homes, we will rally the entire Crohn’s and colitis community, along with friends and families, to walk together virtually. Anywhere. Anyhow!

Support the Gutsy Walk, and you’ll be supporting something bigger than a one-day event. You’ll help put a stop to the pain, the surgeries, and the missed moments caused by Crohn’s and colitis.

It takes guts to find a cure - join us for the next Gutsy Walk on Sunday, August 23, 2020.

Walk with us - virtually. Anywhere. Anyhow!
