The CANIBD School will be held in collaboration with the Canadian IBD Nurses (CANIBD) 2025 annual conference and the annual Meeting of the Minds conference. This full-day meeting will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
The CANIBD School will provide IBD nurses with less than three years IBD nursing experience, or anyone who feels beginner IBD education would be beneficial, a novice IBD-focused course. The CANIBD School will consist of IBD-focused presentations and discussions from patients/families, nurses, dietitians, and physicians.
Topics to be Discussed:
- Nursing Roles in IBD management
- Psychological Implication of living with IBD
- Diagnosis, anatomy and physiology in IBD
- Biomarker assessment in IBD
- Surgery in IBD
- Medical Management in IBD
- IBD management in special Population Management of Pediatric IBD
- IBD management in special Population Management of Vulnerable Population
- Nutritional assessment in IBD
- Nutritional management in IBD

- CD management
We are very excited to have the CANIBD School answer an unmet need for early career nurses in the field of IBD. The meeting will take place on Thursday, November 13th, 2025, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel, Toronto, Ontario. Breakfast and registration begins at 7:30 am.
The cost is $50 per person.
Space is limited and intended for early career nurses in the field of IBD. You must have less than three years IBD nursing experience to participate in the school. Additionally, a nurse who feels beginner IBD education would be beneficial is welcome to apply. Priority will be given to those nurses with less than 3 years IBD experience.
The CANIBD School is partially funded by unrestricted educational grants.
