Studying the Use of Telemedicine for Northern Ontarians with IBD

If you live in Northern Ontario and have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, researchers want to hear from you

The PACE Inflammatory Bowel Disease Telemedicine Program at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto is hosting a web-chat based focus group in your community to better understand your IBD care journey. The team specifically wants to know if you have faced barriers to receiving specialized IBD care in your community, and if so, how can we use technology or a different care model to help overcome these challenges. Your input will help our team further develop our telemedicine-based IBD services for individuals living in rural and remote areas of the province.

The focus groups will be held in Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) studios located in Timmins, Sudbury, Thunder Bay and Sault Ste. Marie. You would be required to travel to the OTN studio closest to you in order to participate. Your mileage or transportation costs will be reimbursed.

Date: Friday, June 23rd from 2-4 pm

Location: An OTN telemedicine studio in Timmins, Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie, or Thunder Bay

Compensation: In appreciation of your thoughtful opinions, focus group participants will receive a $25 gift card and mileage or transportation costs will be reimbursed.
