Honouring Richard Scully

A man (Rick Scully) holding a baby and smiling

Rick, a dedicated contributor to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, passed away on October 13, 2023. Rick was a strong supporter of our organization, a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Our hearts and condolences go out to his wife Ruth, as well as to Rick’s children Adam, Sarah (Mark), granddaughter Poppy, extended family and friends. Ruth is a Board Director for our organization – supporting Crohn’s and Colitis Canada has always been a family priority – volunteering their time and expertise for over twenty years, sharing their experiences to inspire others, and fundraising at our annual Gutsy Walk.

We remember Rick for his goodwill, kindness and commitment to finding the cures for both Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Rick shared a passion to make things better for his family and for the many people impacted by these devastating diseases.

We are truly grateful for all Rick has done for the Crohn’s and colitis community, and beyond. He will be sincerely missed.
