Volunteer Training
Important changes to Camp Got2Go
Online Volunteer Training should be conducted approximately one month prior to the start of camp. The purpose of the training session is to go over the logistics for the camp, go over assigned duties, and answer any questions. The training can be done via GoToWebinar. You can create a PowerPoint that can be used to present all the relevant information. To ensure good participating, a Doodle Poll can be sent up to gain feedback regarding date and time of the call.
You will update and send the volunteer handbook at least 2 weeks prior to the camp date. If possible, it would be really helpful to meet with volunteers in person for training. This way you will have the opportunity to meet everyone face to face. You will be able to complete training and allow individuals to ask questions in person. This is also helpful so that the volunteers can become comfortable with each other prior to the camp and understand each role that will be present during the camp experience.
If this is not possible, I would encourage you to have volunteers show up to the camp site at least 2 hours before the campers to go over important parts from the online training.

Submitting the camp application form does not guarantee that your child will attend Camp Got2Go. Due to the high number of applicants, your child may not be chosen to attend camp and may be placed on a waitlist. Applications are randomly selected to ensure equal representation of age groups and genders. Priority is also given to those who have not attended Camp Got2Go in the past.
Application Requirements
All supplementary application forms have been updated for 2023. Please complete and upload the Medical Authorization Form, the General Authorization Form, and the COVID-19 Waiver & Self Declaration Form. Additionally all applicants must complete and upload a Camper Summary, a brief statement in your child's words on why they would like to attend Camp Got2Go. Applicants are welcome to send in a written statement, poem, drawing, video or any other form of media.
We recommend completing the additional documents before starting the application form. Once you begin the online application process you must complete and submit your application in one sitting, as you will not be able to save and return to your application at a later time. If you exit the form before submitting your application, your work will NOT be saved.
