Annual Volunteer Conference

Every year, volunteers from coast-to-coast get together at the Crohn’s and Colitis Canada annual volunteer conference “GUTS” (Growing Unstoppable Team Success) to connect, learn and grow.

This exciting event, coordinated as either a Regional or National conference,  brings the people at the heart of our organization together to share knowledge, provide feedback, and generate ideas for future initiatives.

Regional GUTS
These conferences take place at select locations across Canada. For example, in 2018 we hosted "Regional GUTS 2018 – Impact Tour", where we visited seven cities from Calgary to Halifax and were fortunate to have one of the authors of the Impact of Inflammatory Bowel Disease in Canada report join us in each city to present key findings of this important research.

National GUTS
This conference takes place at one chosen location. Our key volunteer leadership, like Chapter Presidents, gather to celebrate successes, share knowledge, and come away with new ideas for local community activation.
